General Rules and Point System


GSN 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge

Our weight loss challenge is structured to be a boost to your weight loss efforts, especially if you are motivated by prizes and recognition.  It's difficult to have a competition with just yourself. By competing against others, this will give you a community of 

accountability partners.  Since you are competing, you will see faster results than if you are not in a weight loss challenge.   A contest is a great way to boost confidence and get on the right track.  We know we can do something hard for a short time.  So, whether you win or not, take notes on your success and keep applying it to your life.

All weigh-ins will be located at: 

Kennedy Center

429 John F. Kennedy Way

Willingboro, NJ. 08046


Weigh-ins: Friday, January 19, 2018  5 pm – 8 pm


Weigh-ins: Saturday, January 20, 2018  10 am – 2 pm

  • Your weight will always be kept confidential
  • Only the percentage of your Weight lost will be visible.  

How many winners are there?

There will be 3 winners: Winner is determined by the most points accumulated.

1st Prize = $500

2nd Prize = $250

3rd Prize = $125

Winners will be notified no later than Monday, April 23, 2018 via email. Prize money will be mailed to the recipient. Announcement of winner will be posted on our GSN Fitness Group , once the winner has been notified. 

The Challenge

  1. This challenge is points based as points are awarded for completing mini-challenges and total percent of body weight loss during the 90-day period.
  2. Lose It or LOSE IT Tuesday: Each individual will post how many POUNDS they want to lose, for example: My goal is to Lose 12 pounds during this challenge. This declaration is made on our GSN Fitness Group page on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. You will receive 10 points for each pound you DECLARED only if you MEET or EXCEED that goal at the Final weigh-in (For example: 12 pounds x 10 points = 120 points)
  3.  Lose weight by April 21, 2018 (% of body weight will be calculated). Formula: See below
  4. We welcome you to join our GSN Fitness Group on Facebook to stay updated, motivated and earn extra points with the completion of Mini-Challenges
  5. Must be present for Final  weigh-in on Saturday, April 21, 2018 

10 Point Mini-Challenges

10 Points (per posting day)

  • Where U App Monday(s)  -  Posting/uploading a workout from an App. For example: Fitbit, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Garmin, etc.
  • Free Throw Thursday(s)  -  Posting a workout Selfie or Motivational quote.
  • Group Workout Saturday(s)  - Posting a picture with you exercising with someone else.

All of these posting must be done on GSN Fitness Group on Facebook 

All 10 point postings must be done on the designated days.

30 Points - Fit February

If you participate with one of the following activities in the month of February, you will

 receive 30 points per activity.

  • Spin Class
  • Appointment with a Nutritionist
  • Join a Gym

50 Points - March Madness

If you participate with one of the following activities in the month of March, you will 

receive 50 points per activity.

  • Yoga/Pilates
  • Health & Wellness Class
  • Healthy Cooking Class
  • 3 Mile Walk or Register for a 5K walk/run

Final Weigh-In Points

Lose It or LOSE IT

  • You will receive 10 points for each pound you DECLARED only if you MEET or EXCEED that goal at the FINAL weigh-in.

Example: 12 Pounds x 10 points = 120 points


Final Weigh-in: Saturday, April 21, 2018   9 am – 3 pm

  • 100 Points for every 1% of Body Weight Lost
